We the citizens of Canada, petition Lorne Michaels and NBC to book The Tragically Hip as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live for the season premiere of the 2016 - 2017 season.

Lead singer Gord Downie has recently been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and we feel that showcasing this truly iconic and quintessential Canadian band, 21 years after they first appeared on SNL is an honour they truly deserve.
