Build a fully fenced dog park in Wollongong

Wollongong is a beautiful and thriving city, with thousands of households owning pets - particularly dogs.

Residents owning dogs want to be able to have and access a large, fully fenced and off-lead dog park in Wollongong where dogs can exercise and socialise, and where the community can get together to enjoy the outdoors and their dogs.

We are lucky to have some beautiful dog beaches, however some of them are not easily accessible by all members of the public or have restricted timed access, and none of them are enclosed. Having an enclosed space provides a safe and clean environment for well-behaved dogs to interact, play and exercise without annoying people or endangering wildlife.

Many other councils have fully fenced dog parks, some of which have a smaller population than Wollongong. Given the size of Wollongong, its growth and the number of dogs, it is time to build such a park.
