Stop English Heritage's plans for Marble Hill House Gardens, Twickenham

The Issue

  1. We ask LBRUT to reject English Heritage's current application(s) for the following reasons:
  2. The felling of over 347 trees within the park
  3. The possibility of destroying the Arcadian View (protected by Act of parliament 1902)
  4. Terrible impact of increased traffic and pollution within surrounding roads and area
  5. Endangering wildlife and some protected species
  6. Devastating effect on Grade 2 listed houses abutting proposed new 140 seat café
  7. Destroying the treasured peace and tranquillity of Marble Hill House gardens
  8. Estimated increase of 40,000 visitors per annum to a projected increase to 1 million per annum!
