Cherry Tree Rise Parking Campaign

Cherry Tree Rise Parking Campaign
The Issue
As you may be aware, following Roding Valley Underground Station changing travel zones to zone 4 in 2007 and the parking restrictions recently put in place in Station Way the number of commuters parking in Cherry Tree Rise has alarmingly increased.
Many of us have struggled over the last few years to park on our own private driveways due to motorists blocking access, visitors have not been able to park on the street outside our homes, and small business owners have not been able to accommodate customer parking due to commuters taking up vital car parking spaces on the street. The pressure from commuter parking can result in visitors parking on or in front of residential and business forecourts and private drives.
A number of neighbours have tirelessly campaigned for the London Borough of Redbridge to introduce an appropriate parking restriction targeted at commuters, for example a restriction between 2-3pm as found at Woodford Station and other locations. We have spoken our local councillor, Robin Turbefield, who has indicated that if we collect enough signatures Redbridge will consider putting in parking restrictions on Cherry Tree Rise.
We understand that not all residents will not be affected equally by commuter parking but we are reaching out to every resident and business owners whether you are directly affected or not. Please support your neighbours who are struggling with this problem on a daily basis.
