You signed the petition against the car parking tax and Mayor of Newham, Roksana Fiaz, not only ignored you, she increased the price by more than a whopping 66% in 2022. Today you need to send a message at the ballot box #fiazout.

You have a democratic right to vote for the candidates that will fight this war on motorists. I urge you to go to the polling station today and not to give any votes to Labour for the position of Mayor of Newham.

If you live in Beckton ward I urge you to vote for the 3 Green candidates and under no circumstances give any votes to Labour. The Greens have pledged to fight for fairer parking taxes. The architect of the Labour parking tax, Councillor, James Asser, needs to be politically booted out of Beckton and Newham forever. Under no circumstances vote for Asser or his Labour colleagues in Beckton! Asser and Fiaz also closed our city farm!

To follow Newham People Powers tactical voting guide this election please follow these suggestion.

1. For the position of Mayor you have 2 choices which means you can put a 1 and 2 for your preferred candidate. Under no circumstances put any numbers under the Labour candidate, Roksana Fiaz.

2. If you live in Beckton please assign your 3 votes to the Green candidates which are Karen Webb Green, Alison McLucas and Solveig Bourgeon. Under no circumstances vote for James Asser!

3. For the position of Mayor independent candidate Mehmood Mirza has actively fought against the car taxes the past few years. Other candidates also pledge for a fairer system. We recommend reading their pledges.

4. Some sitting Labour councillors who are standing again in various wards across the Borough did sign a public letter to recommend a pause on the first car tax. You may wish to consider this when you vote. They are Lakmini Shah, Lestor Hudson, Jennifer Bailey, Mariam Dawood, John Gray, Joy Laguda, Daniel Lee-Phakoe, Susan Masters, Anthony McAlmont, Salim Patel, Winston Vaughn, Toni Wilson.

5. If you in Green Street West ward then under no circumstances should you give any vote to Labour candidate, Lewis Godfry. He has stated he would like to see even higher taxes on motorists.
