At the end of June the London Borough of Havering changed the Traffic regulation at Minster Way, Hornchurch to improve safety at the junction with Wingletye Lane and prevent ' rat running ' of vehicles using the road to avoid the Wingletye Lane / St Mary's Lane junction.

This was brought as a result of a tiny amount of complaints regarding vehicle speed in Minster Way. However, there were no recorded incidents at the junction in the past 12 months and no safety issue has been alleviated. Despite requests Havering Council cannot justify this change or point to any improvement.

Instead the impact has been a large increase in traffic, significant congestion and associated polution in St Mary's Lane and on Wingletye Lane and Haction Lane. 

This petition calls for Havering Council to reverse the traffic regulations enforcing left turn from Minster into Wingletye and the No left turn from Wingletye into Minster Way.
