The owner of the Brunswick Centre has applied for planning permission for a so called "Eyecatcher" restaurant, to be sandwiched between the Renoir Cinema and  second floor residential accommodation. The proposal would ruin the architecture and severely reduce  access and public space.

The Brunswick Centre is a much loved listed building. Every year it is visited by hundreds of architecture fans during London Open House. The entrance to Brunswick Square, with its tall elegant columns is regarded as one of the ‘few genuinely sublime architectural sights of London’ (according to expert, Alan Powers).

The proposed development would result in:  

- the ruination of a Grade II listed building
- blocked vistas to and from Brunswick Square Park
- less public space and a reduction in its quality
- reduced access to and from the Brunswick Centre
- less privacy for residents
- disturbance, noise and unpleasant smells

We, the tenants, residents and friends of the Brunswick Centre, petition the London Borough of Camden to refuse planning permission. Please sign the petition to stop the eyesore!
