'Formal Response' from Bromley Council

We have received the 'formal response' from Bromley Council regarding this petition. It states: 'The number of signatures on your petition is well below the threshold for referring it to a full Council meeting, so it will not be on the agenda for the meeting on 4th July. I understand that the Portfolio Holder for Environment, Cllr Colin Smith, has already been in contact with you regarding the issues in your petition; he confirms that, although officers will continue to work with residents, and of course respond to your freedom of information request, in terms of the Council’s formal response, there is nothing further to add.' This is highly disappointing. Can I please urge you to continue spreading this petition as far as you can, but please note that only signatures with postcodes within the Bromley borough 'count' when referring to the council. Can I urge as many of you to also attend the Penge Forum meeting on 13th July, 7.30pm, 172 Penge High Street SE20 7QS where this petition is on the agenda.
