My cat Lola was knocked over and killed by a car and left for dead. She died in the arms of a stranger who found her in the middle of the road as the person responsible did not stop. 

As it stands it is not illegal to drive away from hitting a cat. As an animal lover in general having cats and dogs I find this devastating. 

Lola was four years old, cheeky, sassy and was happiest causing chaos. She did not deserve to die the way she did and for the person responsible to show such disregard is heart breaking. 

I have started this petition to get the government to make it the law that you must stop and report hitting a cat the same as it is a legal requirement when you hit a dog. 

Let’s get this petition to the law makers and get things changed.
