Lodi unified school district has recently been shaken to its core by confessions of victims of sexual assault. Everyday there is a new person who comes out about their story of their own sexual assault or harassment. This petition’s sole purpose is to protect our students, allow the assaulters one less excuse, AND demand that the Lodi unified school district, and on a greater scale,  our current governor Gavin Newsom, require a full course in any and all Sex Education classes teaching various subjects including proper consent, sexual assault/harassment, rape, or any other sexual crime; and the meaning and impacts of each subject. Sexual crimes happen too often and it is partially the fault of our educational system for failing to properly educate their students about these real and traumatic experiences that so many feel they have to bear alone. Signing this petition helps to take a step in the right direction for change and allows the guilty to be held accountable for their actions. As a victim myself, it is extremely important that this change is met so our world and our students can feel safe. Every signature matters. We need your help!
