The Fruitville Initiative is taking place and part of this project is to clear off land for development  just North of the Celery Fields which the majority of local tax paying residents do not want more of and which will bring more traffic, pollution and humans littering to our beloved Celery Fields and what little nature we have left that has not been built on in this region.  To be clear, the land of which we are speaking that is currently in the process of being bulldozed is right next to the Celery Fields on the same side of the street and includes what looks like wetlands that birds are currently living on even as they are clearing it off and dumping dirt over it with large bulldozers.  In this petition, we ask that this piece of land just North of and adjacent to the Celery Fields be protected from development so that the peaceful and delicate ecosystem of the Celery Fields is not encroached upon and disrupted.
