Snowmobilers and Bicyclers could have a year round trail connecting Old Forge to the Tri-Lakes and the Canadian Border if the Rails are removed from Old Forge to Tupper Lake. Without rails the Snowmobile use would be extended by several weeks and the Bicycle Season would create a whole new recreation and economic generator for a very large Adirondack Region.

The trail would create it's own activity, building the services for a year round recreation corridor.

We the undersigned petition the State of New York to abandon the rail restoration and complete the Rail Trail to connect Old Forge to Lake Placid with the year round Rail Trail.
