Apparently WCC table petitions once a month, and publish the decisions the following month - but they've given the community one week's notice of their intention to demolish these trees!

This despite clear survey results that the community of Warrnambool places a high value on the environment. Community engagement fail. Strategic planning fail.

Media are chasing the story. People are talking about a sit in. I say go for it! 

So there will have to be emergency Council intervention, or these magnificent tree citizens (from horse and cart era) get chopped down - to save money on a footpath - NEXT WEEKEND!!

Who are we to tell them what to do? We are the people who entrust them to spend our money for the good of the community.
