There is a large commercial parking lot directly adjacent to my building that continues to have crime, homelessness and drug useage happening all the time.  Cars often come and do donuts in this lot and just last night there was a gun shoot out where 10-15 shots were fired only 100 feet from my front door. 
The residents of my neighborhood would like this parking lot closed off in the evening and patrolled constantly throughout the day. We would also like to have parking blocks installed in the lot to prevent cars speeding through and doing donuts. The people that loiter in the lot always leave trash, drug paraphernalia and often condoms from sex that they have in their cars in the lot.  We have a very diverse neighborhood with families, young children and elderly residents. New construction has also been built on the street. The parking lot that is hosting all of these concerns is behind the 99cent Only Store and Chuckie Cheese on LaTijera and Centinela bordering the Ladera Height, Westchester and Inglewood neighborhoods.
