Haslingden Cricket Club have applied to Viridor Credits for funding to extend the all weather net facility so that the club can develop, encourage others to play cricket and provide a facility for other local community groups to play sport. You might remember our successful drainage project from three years ago and we are once again seeking support for a new project where we are raising funds for an extension to our all-weather nets.

The reasons for this are that with Covid19 restrictions we cannot hold our usual winter training for juniors and seniors. We have looked at our current net facility and if they were extended by 10-15m we would have available training space for different skill disciplines with different age groups at the same time to replace the lost training sessions. On a long term basis the facility would give us usable space when the ground is not fit for training. After the restrictions that have occurred with the Covid19 pandemic, we want to encourage players and the wider community back to the club and enable them to take part in sporting activities. We need additional usable training space to maintain the engagement of all of our players, new and old.
