General contractors are creating unfair labor practices by adding new terms to old contracts without the option to bargain. This goes against our collective bargaining agreement signed June 1st 2018 with the expiration date of May 31st 2024. Also this violates our International SMART Constitution Article 10, Section 5 which states "Local unions shall not adopt any local rules, regulations, or policies which in any way conflict with the provisions of this Constitution." This is changing conditions of our employment, increasing our unemployment numbers for members, decreasing our union vs non union market share and ultimately losing dues paying members.
