The Issue

As ardent viewers and supporters of 'Living for the Dead', we are deeply moved by the unique stories shared by the crew, each one narrating their adversities and healing journeys. The cast members' testimonies have resonated with us, depicting their battles with real-life entities that take a toll on mental health. At the end of every episode, a message of empowerment and encouragement, along with a profound quote, has inspired us and provided renewed perspectives on life and the spirit world.

However, we were deeply disheartened when the production of season 2 was paused. The immense impact of 'Living for the Dead' on viewers points out the necessity of it being continued. In the United States, 1 in 5 adults experience mental health challenges, implying that mental health is a matter of national concern (National Institute of Mental Health, 2020). A show like 'Living for the Dead' not only addresses these issues practically but offers solace and inspiration to its viewers, and thus, contributes positively toward this issue.

Considering the societal impact and the personal resonance the show has for countless viewers, we urge Disney and Hulu to renegotiate and resume the production of 'Living for the Dead' for its second season. It is our earnest plea that this empowering and unique series gets the chance to continue influencing and illuminating the lives of its viewers. Please sign this petition to support our call for the continuation of this inspirational show.

Living for the Dead broke new ground when it first debuted on Hulu on October 18, 2023, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, GLAAD Media Award, and The Queerties. The docuseries has paved its own path for LGBTQIA2+ representation and being as unique, the cast comprised of 5 gifted queer paranormal investigators; Roz Hernandez, paranormal researcher and podcaster; Ken Boggle, medium and tarot card reader; Alex LeMay, paranormal investigator; JuJu Bae, spiritual healer, and enchantress, and Logan Taylor psychic medium. The show was more than entertainment, but rather a show everyone could resonate with, experiencing communication with those in the spirit realm. Each episode concluded with an empowering message of resilience, and hope to inspire those of us that navigate this earthly realm.
