Many, many thanks to everyone who signed this petition, which, at time of writing, has been backed by 1,004 people.

We will now submit it to our Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram, and lay down the marker that Heswall must not be forgotten as public transport policy is developed.

Although there are practical difficulties given the line on which Heswall sits - one operated by Transport for Wales and not Merseyrail - it can't be beyond the wit of man to give our town better connectivity, and Steve has already said that he is committed to better local rail travel for all.
