No more building in the Greenbank Park walled garden

No more building in the Greenbank Park walled garden
The Issue
The Watering Can in Greenbank Park has applied to Liverpool City Council to build an extension to the cafe which means more green space would be lost forever in the Marie Curie walled garden. At the same time, the cafe has applied to be open until 11.00pm for 'pre-booked events'.
The planned extension would take away more green space in the walled garden - at the back of the existing cafe, and also to the side, along the boundary wall with the playground. The pergola would also be extended right up to the children's playground. The building's size would increase by almost 75m² (about 800 square feet).
We do not want any more building over our green space in this much-loved community space.
We ask Liverpool City Council's planning department to reject this planning application in its entirety.
