Another article has been published in the Somerset County Gazette and the Chard and Ilminster news, which is great! though there is a small error: Eli was born in 2021, not 2022.
I’m doing my best to keep spreading awareness about the petition, but it’s been challenging with little response from many major news outlets. This is an issue that desperately needs attention, and while I understand people may get tired of hearing about it, the reality is this is happening in our maternity sector and it must change.
I’ve learned that the Maternity Safety Alliance has also been pushing for something similar on a national level, but unfortunately, they haven’t received a response from the government—which, sadly, isn’t surprising. But that doesn’t mean we stop. We have to keep pushing and gathering signatures. We need 10,000 signatures to get a government response and 100,000 for it to be raised in Parliament.
We’re still far from that goal, so please continue sharing the petition on your social media and encourage others to sign. Every signature counts!
Thank you for all your continued support so far
