Erie County is proposing a one-hauler system for the entire county that will mandate that every resident of Erie County use the same trash hauler. Many residents feel this is unfair as it will create a monopoly and take away individuals right to choose their own hauler. With only one mandatory hauler, there will be no competition to keep your rate in check. The one hauler system will also certainly put small trash hauling companies that have been operating in the area for 50+ years out of business. Most importantly, it removes YOUR ability to choose what company you want to do business with, whether you're happy with your service or not. We urge all residents of Erie County to sign this petition to stop the proposed one-hauler system. Please support local business and your freedom to choose your own service!
