The Divergent Series has been a successful book to movie franchise with already 3 movies released. The final installment, The Divergent Series: Ascendant, was set to come out June of 2017. Variety has reported, "Lionsgate is planning to wrap up the “Divergent Series” with a television movie and a spinoff series.". As of July 20th, 2016, nothing is final, but as an avid Divergent fan this cannot happen. While the most recent installment did not live up to expectations, it will do far worse on tv.
