For years, fans of the horror cult classic film "Waxwork" have waited for years to see the film released in its widescreen format.  While the film has been released on several DVDs, it has only been released in full-screen format and it has yet to be released on Blu-Ray.  Some DVDs in other regions have had extras, like the making-of featurette and the trailer, and a widescreen release for "Waxwork", but there has yet to be a Region 1 DVD in the U.S. and Canada for "Waxwork" that has a widescreen presentation or special features.  Before the film's 30th anniversary in 2018, we, the fans, would like to see a special edition release for the film with digitally remastered picture and sound and special features and hope this "Waxwork" special edition will get released on all Region Codes.  Here are some suggestions as to what could be on the film's special edition release on DVD and Blu-Ray:

- 1:85:1 widescreen presentation

- "R" rated version and "uncut" version of the film for fans to choose from and watch

- Audio commentary with writer/director Anthony Hickox and commentary with Hickox, actor Zach Galligan (Mark) and actress Deborah Foreman (Sarah)

- Music-only commentary track of the film's soundtrack by composer Roger Bellon

- Theatrical trailer(s)

- Deleted scenes (if any)

- 15 minute making-of featurette

- Production stills

- New featurettes and new interviews with the cast and crew (Anthony Hickox, Zach Galligan, Deborah Foreman, Michelle Johnson, Dana Ashbrook, David Warner, etc.)
