We petition Latrobe Council in accordance with Local Government Act 1993 to commit to hear the views of the community regarding the change of management of the Port Sorell Lion's Caravan Park.  We call on the councillors to hold a public meeting/community forum to demonstrate how and when they have completed consultation with the wider community to ascertain the community's views before placing a vote on the decision of the takeover.   We ask that the vote be reversed to help ensure the Lions Club and its members are able to fulfil their oath to the community to assist financially, culturally, socially and morally, the disabled, disadvantaged and infirm.The signatories below desire that the caravan park be managed by the Lions Club.   The club has successfully done this for many years.  It is recognised that the Lions Club's ability to significantly contribute to the community will be severely restricted by the loss of income from the caravan park if the Council continue to enforce this change.
