There is a Lindblom Math and Science Academy High School student by the name of Leo Santana. Leo is a Latino student who is currently a junior at this school. He has recently took this sensitive time in American history to voice his disdain for Black people on social media. He has taken to his own and peers social media to support causes like AllLivesMatter, rather than voicing support for a community that many of his peers come from. On top of that, Leo made numerous racially charged posts and comments on Facebook using derogatory terms for Black people, and speaking down on the Black community.

The goal of this petition is to call for LMSA Administration to extend to Leo the harshest punishment possible. It must be known that this behavior (no matter who it is from) has no place in our school systems, especially not Chicago Public Schools. If Lindblom is not able to properly handle the situation it will be escalated to the highest extent possible. This is to smother out racism in our schools, which should be safe havens for students of all colors rather than a battleground for it to manifest.
