In order to make your signature count, I would like to keep up the momentum of the petition. For that to happen, I would appreciate it if you could take the time to email me any experiences you have had regarding overdeveloped villages or areas which were once spacious and free. I would also very much appreciate it if you could include the positive impact green space has on you, your physical and mental health and that of your families.
I feel that the more evidence we have of the positive influence of village life the more strength the petition might have. It might persuade or perhaps touch on the moral compass and conscience of the landowners/developers. it might provide an opportunity for them to stand back and consider the negative impact of stripping away land that has served them for years to be laid to rest forevermore under unsightly concrete and landscaped lawns- where copious amounts of weed killer and fertiliser alienates the eco systems of our village.
It might persuade the landowners and developers to consider the devastating impact of the loss of trees, space and peace to replace with an mass of monotone bricks: uncharacteristic, unaffordable and unnecessary (some are unnecessary).
