Limit Hourglass PvP to Pirate Legends

Limit Hourglass PvP to Pirate Legends
The Issue
As someone who has experienced the immense frustration of encountering countless cheaters in Sea of Thieves, I am compelled to propose a change to the game’s Player versus Player (PvP) mode, specifically the Hourglass mode. Currently, cheaters can easily bypass bans by creating a new e-mail address and starting fresh, a practice particularly convenient for PC players. This not only diminishes the competitive integrity of the game but also takes a heavy toll on the enjoyment of honest players like myself.
Introducing a requirement that only players who have achieved Pirate Legend status — by reaching level 50 in three different trading companies — can access the Hourglass PvP mode would significantly curtail the prevalence of cheating. Pirate Legend status, which requires a considerable investment of time and dedication, would serve as a deterrent to those looking to exploit the game with multiple accounts. This change would ensure that only true and committed players participate, elevating the level of competition and fairness in PvP encounters.
Moreover, this adjustment would greatly enhance the value of the Pirate Legend title itself. Currently, reaching Pirate Legend primarily offers reputation without significant game play advantages. By tying the prestigious Hourglass PvP mode to the Pirate Legend status, players would have an increased incentive to strive for this title, adding a layer of depth and a tangible reward to the game's progression system.
This proposal not only addresses the cheating issue but also injects much-needed prestige and purpose into achieving Pirate Legend. It is a win-win situation that fosters a more rewarding and equitable gaming environment. Sign this petition to join the effort in urging Rare, the developers of Sea of Thieves, to consider implementing these changes, creating a more enjoyable and cheat-free experience for all dedicated buccaneers.
