The Issue

Growing up, I have always had a deep love and respect for animals. It pains me to think of the countless innocent creatures that are subjected to laboratories and testing, all in the name of human progress. I truly believe that animals shouldn't be so heavily relied on in terms of medicine, especially since they have no way to consent or object to the research being done on them.

It's time to address this issue and create a more ethical and humane path forward for developing medical advancements. According to the Humane Society, more than 100 million animals—including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds—are killed in laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experimentation, chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing every year.

While scientific research is crucial for medical advancements, we must question whether we should continue this dependence on animal testing when there are alternative methods available. Technological advancements have introduced multiple non-animal testing methods that are not only humane but can also be more efficient and applicable to human biology. Some of these alternatives include in vitro testing, computer modeling, and the use of human-patient simulators.

We urge the MP-Peter Fonseca- by signing this petition to invoke legislations to those companies to ensure that animals can no longer be tested on. Please join us in advocating for change by signing this petition.
