This petition is important because it is not the breed that is bad it is the people who own the breed and teach them bad habits as well as abuse their animals and force them into dog fighting. I believe that the council needs to focus more on punishing the owners that abuse or neglect the breed rather than punishing the breed for something that is out of their control. We can not as a society discriminate against race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation for humans but it is ok for the governments to discriminate against animals. I believe that the owners need to be held accountable for their actions and the wrong that they are doing to a beautiful breed of dog that does not deserve the negative attention they are getting. People need to educate their selves on the breed before taking on such a huge responsibility. If we train these dogs the proper way, they are one of the most loyal and affectionate breeds of dogs that we could ask for. Please support us in our fight to end BSL in Lima/ Allen County Ohio
