On-Line Dating, Can you trust their “Verified Profile” Program?

On-Line Dating, Can you trust their “Verified Profile” Program?
The Issue
With the internet and social media being our only interactions with other Like Minded Singles, it is hard to know who is the real person behind the keyboard. I realize that technology has made knowing whom we are involved with easier and safer, but have we let our guard down?
Are we relying on dating sites “verified program certifications” in letting us know whom we are about to share our vulnerability? I vote ‘YES.”
Unfortunately, many have lost their lives or suffered abuse from these same people that came up with a clean report from sites that charge for a general search fee, or others that have been arrested or reported but were not convicted, or the victim may have withdrawn charges out of embarrassment or fear. A recent statistic showed that as many as 60% of convicted abusers do not show up due to individual jurisdictions and reporting anomalies. Prior arrests or abusive behavior will not come up in many legal systems at all. So how can we put our faith in On-Line dating sites”verified background checks”? This is the conundrum we face. We need to have more protection from the on-line dating sites in which we trust. Take a moment to read the articles below.

Those are just a few,
It is easy to skim through the Tinder app and pick out whom you would like to meet. Many people can wear a mask for a certain amount of time. Most will lie about their past relationships, who wants to talk about a past relationship that was negative?
There is a need for a site that users can check if their future love connections were involved in abusive behaviors in the past. That is why Like Minded People organization created S.A.F.E Minded.org. This site offers a chance for you to be informed before the red flags start to show, and it may become too late to get out. S.A.F.E Minded.org is not a place where judgement is passed on the offenders but for Sharing Awareness for Empowerment. The empowerment of being informed.
Would you date an animal abuser? Would you date someone who had committed an act of domestic violence?
Do not read these links to scare you but to empower you. Like Minded People is petitioning On-Line dating sites to post our S.A.F.E Minded.org seal of approval on “Verified Profiles.” Sign our petition below and become S.A.F.E Minded.
