We believe that the following measures are necessary to address the safety issues in the park:

Improved lighting: Install lighting along the trail to ensure that it is well-lit during evening hours. 

Emergency call boxes: Install emergency call boxes at regular intervals along the trail to allow users to call for help if they need it.
We urge the Park Commission/ City Council/ Local Government to allocate the necessary funds and resources to implement these safety measures as soon as possible.

By implementing safety measures at the Greenway trail, we can create a safer and more enjoyable experience for all users while protecting the environment and minimizing the risk of accidents and suspicious activities. During the summer term at Southern Adventist University, there have been several reports of Title IX violations. However, by implementing preventive measures, we can not only address these incidents but also prevent other potentially harmful activities. We believe that improving safety in the park will help to create a more vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming community for everyone who visits or lives nearby.

Therefore, we call on the Park Commission/ City Council/ Local Government to take immediate action to improve safety in the Wolftever Creek Greenway and make it a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
