Lift The Ban On Pit bulls! - Ontario Against The Ban
The Issue
Ontario currently has BSL set in place - pit bulls born after August 29th, 2005 (or 30 days after that date) are to be euthenized. Dogs born before this date are allowed to live out their lives so long as they are muzzled and leashed on a 1.8 meter long leash.
The government believes that it is banning pit bulls for "public safety" but they are hugely misguided! They are trying to wipe out some of the most loving and loyal breed of dog there is, and don't realise it is NOT the dogs, it is the owners! They also have not learned that BSL does not work - other countries have tried it with NO success whatsoever. Dog attack numbers have not dropped - simply the breed of dog attacks has changed (possibly showing those bad owners don't care - they just choose another breed to beat and make aggressive, not changing anything at all? Or other owners continuing to not train their dogs properly, they just have more of other breeds!)
Please sign this if you believe that pit bulls have a right! They should not be judged by their breed, as people should not be judged by their colour, or people should not be judged by their siblings or family background.
Let's end this obnoxious and ignorant ban and save some dogs' lives!

(It seems Canadians can't sign? All you have to do is choose a state and enter your own postal code and address, and it will work)
