Update: Lifetime has announced that it's closing tonight.

Lifetime Fitness is a nationwide gym with hundreds of thousands if not millions of members. Despite the obvious threat posed by staying open while cities, states, and countries try to fight COVID-19 by encouraging social distancing, Lifetime has so far insisted on staying open, putting not only employees and members at risk but entire communities.

I am as concerned as anyone about how I will be able to get my exercise in without a gym to go to, but it is no longer safe for any of us for gyms to be open.

Lifetime needs to close NOW so employees and members don't have to decide between getting in a workout and stopping the spread of this pandemic.
