Female genital multilation has been a big problem to young African ladies in rural areas

The Issue

  • Am a young african girl age of 20. I grew up in rural area in maasae community in which they believe for a girl to be able to handle the family or to be really woman she must be multlated, so around my community there is a school build inoder to help ladies who face that problem and i was happy because i was among of the lady who select to join the school and met with different ladies who face this problem.when i was in form one one of my school sister went hom for holyday and she was multlated and she died because of that. So my advice to the government is to establish even a public school which will help young ladies who face this problem and also to teach my community what are the negative impact of it through provision of health education
