This petition is in request to implement the Parent Teacher Student Organization at the Liberty Hill Junior High and Liberty Hill High School in the Liberty Hill Independent School District of Liberty Hill, Texas 78642. Understanding that the High School Booster Club supports the Junior High Athletics department and sports teams:

PTO is for the student body, teachers and the families in the schools as a whole, not just for those in the sports organizations. PTO is a proven champion for families at every level of policy-making. PTO helps back the future of Every Child with One Voice! 

Advocacy for students, teachers and parents within a school district should exist at every grade level of education, not just the elementary grades of K-6. With the quick growth we are experiencing in Liberty Hill, Texas, we as parents need to ensure that our teachers are supported and equipped with the necessary tools to educate our children. We also need to ensure that our students and families are represented fully in policy making and full cooperation and communication with our educators especially at the upper class level. 

We would like to make this a PTSO to include students from each grade level, elected by their peers, to have a voice within the organization. Please sign this petition if you would like to see the PTSO organization expanded into the 7th-12th grade levels of our school district. 

The Texas PTA  and the National Association for PTA have been contacted for their assistance and support. Once we have enough signatures we will provide this to the LHISD with a request to allow the organization of the PTSO in our Junior High and High School.
