We the people from Bella Vista, Rancho San Vicente, Camino Real, Montebello, Gran San Jacinto, would like for the Liberty County Commissioner's court to take in consideration our petition. We the residents of this subdivisions see the Zoom conference call you all had yesturday regarding the Plum Grove ESD #8. A few things we the residents would like for the commissioners to know, that we have never had a real voice regarding were our money goes to, including our taxes, but we want to make a let it be know that we are 100% behind the ESD the fire department is wanting to create. Insane the developer mention that we did not want it nor did we wanted to be in it. Well my question to him is, how does he know that we don't want it. Is he just assuming? He also mention he was already proving this service, from my understanding the Plum Grove Volunteer Fire Department has been there for us since all this started, and for that we thank then. We the people do not want to be in his MMD district, we see no use for it just like we see no use for the POA. We see improvements  all we see if POA funding the Liberty County Sherriff, that's all we are seeing our money going to, or ditches that the county should have to take care of since we already have been adopted by the county not all but some subdivisions. He says that he's people don't want the ESD, we are not his people, if we were his people he would work with us in this time of crisis with covid instead when we call Colony Ridge to see if they can help us with our payments all they say is we cannot, so my question to him is how are we your people if you are not willing to help us, he also mention the signatures for the Petion the Fire Department did for the ESD were not all from the subdivisions, to clarify that some came from the Colonias and some did not the only reason why is because those who wanted to sign the petion couldn't, some residents can not vote due to voting status such as having land in Plum Grove's planned ESD district but owning a home in another county which is where they are registered to vote.Also some people had mailing changes and their voter registration was not updated, making their signature unacceptable because even though they live in boundaries they were rejected because of their voter registration. " but if we could we all would have sign that petion, this is why we are doing this petion here, so that you can take in consideration our petition and to prove the developer wrong, that WE THE PEOPLE want this ESD but cannot vote for it.
