As someone who believes that all animals should live a free life and not be raised just for food, it troubles me deeply that countless lobsters are ensnared in a life of captivity within the supply chain of Red Lobster, a popular restaurant chain.

Each day, lobsters are crammed into microscopic tanks, kept under inhumane conditions and eventually served on dinner plates across North America. According to the Animal Welfare Institute, lobsters are intelligent creatures that suffer considerable pain and distress when they are confined and killed for food. This contradicts Red Lobster's claims of commitment to animal welfare and integrity.

Our demand is simple: Red Lobster needs to take responsibility and transition to more sustainable and humane alternatives, such as plant-based seafood alternatives or a strict catch-and-release policy. Until then, countless lobsters -each a living, feeling being- are subjected to an unimaginably cruel fate.
