Dear friends of Sea-Eye,

Immediately after the detention of the SEA-EYE 4 at the beginning of June, we had asked the German Foreign Office for help. But Rome only informed the ministry of Annalena Baerbock that the “intervention was noted”.

Since the German Foreign Office does not achieve anything for civilian sea rescue, we have to fight for the human right to life ourselves and have filed a lawsuit against the Italian Ministry of Transport. Because if the Italian government continues to act in this way, civilian sea rescue could come to a complete standstill.
