Cardinal Duka was accused of concealing pedophilia among clergy. The Cardinal has recently become famous as a zealous defender of Archbishop Jędraszewski and his shameful text about the rainbow plague. As we can see, the modus operandi "for the good of the Church", known from the staunch defense of Archbishop Paetz, is still valid years ago. There is a pattern here of double moral standards. Fortunately, it clearly shows us, laymen, that the voice of support for our hierarchies from abroad does not always come from worthy and moral people, and our model should be the Holy Father, not troublemakers.

Kardynał Duka został oskarżony o ukrywanie przypadków pedofilii wśród duchownych. Kardynał w ostatnim czasie zasłynął jako gorliwy obrońca arcybiskupa Jędraszewskiego i jego haniebnego tekstu o tęczowej zarazie. Jak widać modus operandi "dla dobra Kościoła" znane z brawurowej obrony arcybiskupa Paetza przed laty wciąż aktualne. Widać tu pewien schemat w kwestii podwójnych standardów moralnych. Na szczęście dobitnie pokazuje to nam, świeckim, że nie zawsze głos wsparcia dla naszych hierarchów zza granicy pochodzi od ludzi godnych i moralnych, a naszym wzorem powinien być Ojciec Święty, a nie wichrzyciele.
