...that was before Christmas and we haven't heard anything for a month.
*We need your help! Please email our council to push for a meeting date* - address and template email below
Our MP Janet Daby emailed on 21st December to say: "I would confirm that I am more than happy for a meeting in the New Year with the Tree Preservation Society and the council. The Mayors representative Pat Codd, Cabinet Member for the Environment & Transport has said he is happy to arrange a meeting with him and his officers in the New Year."
This meeting would be between the MP, cabinet member for the environment, our lawyer, specialist survey and us as campaigners. We have crowdfunded to be able to pay our experts for their time and we are raring to go!
I have emailed twice this month to ask for a date for the promised meeting, with no response. The council might move things forward a bit if our supporters also contact them to ask for a meeting date - would you please email them to push for a meeting?

Dear Cllr Codd,
It's great that you have committed to meeting with the campaigners and experts who are working to protect Lewisham's mature trees. However I understand that there is no date set yet for this meeting. I urge you to contact the campaigners with a date as soon as possible so that you and they can start working together on this vital issue which is so clearly part of action on the climate emergency we face.
Yours sincerely
