I’d like to thank the more than 4,000 people who have already signed our fans’ Defend Our Den petition to stop the sale of land adjoining The Den to property developers Renewal. A meeting is now being arranged between Millwall Football Club and Lewisham Council officers which we hope will prove fruitful. We are aware the regeneration issue, in as far as it affects Millwall Football Club, has sparked considerable debate and there have been other individuals and groups who have chosen to take action of their own. As we have a meeting with the Council, I’d like to make it clear Millwall Football Club will not be attending the full Lewisham Council meeting at the Town Hall on Wednesday 26th February and neither do we encourage our fans to do so. But the Club will carefully monitor what is said at that meeting. The campaign continues and our petition remains open for new signatures to keep up the pressure. We will submit our petition at a later date as Millwall supporters.
