Planning Appeal - please help to support us
In September 2019 we collected over 2,000 signatures (including [600+] on this platform) in support of the application for a new church hall and community building at St Mildred’s Church, SE12. Thank you! The Council’s planning committee turned down our application, on narrow heritage/aesthetic grounds which do not reflect local opinion. The decision was made on the very narrow margin of the chair’s casting vote (four councillors in favour and four against). We were so close that we decided to appeal. After a long wait, the appeal process has now started. We now need to demonstrate to the Planning Inspector that there is strong local support for the project, so we would really appreciate your help.
Please go to https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/planning-inspectorate and select “Search for an appeal”. Ignoring the “Log in” box, select “Search for a case”, Insert the seven digit reference 3252615 and continue. In the comment box, please state that the appeal should be allowed, and that planning permission should be granted. If you can add anything about the benefits of a new community facility that would also be very helpful.
Thank you very much! Further details from developmentproject@stmildreds.org.uk.
