Please support the Campaign for the mute swan to be officially recognised as the wildlife bird of Salford .

Local wildlife expert James Walsh (The Mancunian Birder) came up with the wonderful idea of each borough in Greater Manchester having their own designated wildlife bird, in order to promote their own wildlife, so far none of the 10 boroughs have taken up this idea. However, here in Salford we like to do things differently! and we love our wildlife .
To have this recognised by Salford City Council would be a huge step in the right direction for wildlife conservation in the city and would go some way in establishing wildlife as an important priority.
