A Peacehaven based pub has just had planning permission for the building to be knocked down, and for a block of flats to be built in its place, I myself live directly next to the building, the Sussex Coaster, and where this block of flats will be built. I ask anyone reading this to please sign this petition as this new building will greatly affect me and my family, as well as the surrounding area, my home and every other building within 2 streets to me is 2 storeys high, and this building will be 3 storeys high and will tower over my home. As well as this the building will look out of place and not match any building near it. Peacehaven does not have enough infrastructure for this building, all our schools in the town are full, the nearest doctor's surgery cannot handle the people in this town as it is and this building will only add to the existing problems in this town. We have a main road right in front of our home and it is regularly full of busy traffic and bringing more homes into the area are only going to add to the congestion, especially considering that a whole new home estate has been built on the other end of this town. The pub before it was run down purposely by its owners was much loved by locals and generated lots of revenue and was a great place where you could meet up with friends and enjoy a drink or two. It has also been stated that these flats will not be affordable for local people, so what's the point of building them if no one can buy them, it has again been stated that 1 and 2 bedroom homes are much needed in Peacehaven when it really isn't, Peacehaven is overcrowded and underdeveloped as it is we do not need more homes. So finally again I ask everyone to please sign this and hopefully we can overturn Lewes District Council's poor decision and potentially get our pub back. Thank You
