First, thank you. Every signature and share has helped prove what many families already know: This is a community raising the same basic question.

Why is it so hard to get clear answers when girls’ sports are impacted?

Since the petition began, we have continued to request simple, reasonable things:

A clear decision pathway
Transparent standards and timelines
Consistent communication to families
A safe way to raise concerns without backlash
Instead, what we have experienced is the opposite.

What has happened since the last update:

No answers with substance. We have not been given direct responses to key questions.
More runaround. We keep getting redirected to different people, different offices, or different explanations.
More delay. Weeks pass, seasons move forward, and the lack of clarity becomes its own decision.
More “process talk,” less actual process. If the process is real, it should be explainable, repeatable, and visible. It has not been.

This has been exhausting. It has also been eye opening. In today’s political climate, it feels like girls and women are expected to accept less, quietly, and gratefully. We are not doing that. These are student athletes. They deserve a fair system and leadership that can explain decisions in plain language.

Why your engagement matters
Silence is a strategy. Confusion is a strategy. The goal is to wear people out until they stop asking, which has the reason RI youth sports continue to struggle. The petition is how we refuse that.

Here is how you can help today, in five minutes:

  • Sign (or confirm your signature is still active).
  • Share the link and add one sentence about why you shared it. Your stories have inspired me and deserve a chance to be heard
  • Comment on the petition. Even a short comment helps visibility.
  • Tag someone who would care: a parent, coach, alumni, or community leader.

We are asking for fairness, transparency, and equal respect. If that request creates discomfort, that is not our problem. That is the point.

Thank you for staying engaged. You are helping protect girls who should never have to learn that speaking up is dangerous.
