Why this petition matters

Started by Alex Cerado

With almost two decades since UST's last championship in UAAP Basketball,  a guy named Aldin Ayo stepped up to bring back the golden days of España.

As of 13 April 2022, Ayo's ban is ONE SIGNATURE AWAY from being lifted. UST IPEA already filed an appeal in October 2020 but UAAP Board has this condition that it will only be honored once endorsed and signed by university’s rector, Father Richard Ang

We encourage the Thomasian Community to sign this petition in our shot to let the UST admin, particularly Fr. Rector Richard Ang, hear our clamor.

From Business Mirror:

Aldin Ayo:

“To be honest, there are offers which are above what we are getting from UST but for me it’s not important,” he said. “What is important, my priority ever since, is personal growth and compensation is not an issue for me.”

“I think this is where I will grow as a person, in this kind of environment because of the community,” he added.

WHY ALDIN AYO?

Ayo originally engineered a six-year basketball program for España. In merely two years, the two-time UAAP & NCAA champion tactician brought the Growling Tigers to the Finals --- beating the powerhouse UP Fighting Maroons TWICE in the semifinals.

However, the Bubble fiasco happened in 2020. Sorsogon local government and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group earlier ruled that Ayo complied with all the Covid-19 health requirements prior staging the controversial Bubble.

The Season 84 lineup has the potential to become one of the toughest teams in the league if #MayhemSystem will continue.
