Let Zharia-Rae Be Heard in Parliament — Justice for a British-Born Child Denied Passport

The Issue

In the heart of Britain, a three-year-old girl named Zharia-Rae is being denied the very rights her brother was granted — simply because of bureaucratic inconsistency. Born in Birmingham to the same parents, in the same hospital, under the same circumstances, her brother received a British passport. Zharia-Rae did not.

Why? No explanation. No change in parental status. No shift in law. Just silence.

Zharia-Rae’s mother has spent years navigating a maze of confusion, trauma, and cold responses from the Home Office. Even seasoned campaigners and legal experts are baffled. Meanwhile, this little girl — born hypothermic, diagnosed with hip dysplasia, now undergoing autism assessment — is left voiceless in more ways than one.

She cannot speak for herself. So we must.

This petition calls on the Home Secretary to take immediate action:

  • Review Zharia-Rae’s case with urgency and compassion.
  • Provide a clear explanation for the denial of her rights.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in British nationality decisions.
  • Uphold the rights of ALL children born in Britain.
  • We ask Parliament: Does Britain still care about children’s rights?
  • We ask the Home Office: Will you make it make sense?  Zharia-Rae is not just a case number. She is a child. A citizen. A future.

Sign this petition to demand justice, clarity, and equal protection for Zharia-Rae. Let her voice be heard — in Parliament, in policy, and in the heart of this nation.
