Let Us Sit When We Need To: End SeaWorld’s Discriminatory Rollator Ban

Let Us Sit When We Need To: End SeaWorld’s Discriminatory Rollator Ban
The Issue
People with disabilities deserve access, dignity, and autonomy — not judgment or exclusion.
SeaWorld Orlando currently bans all rollator walkers with built-in seats, calling them “convenience seating.” But for many disabled people, these devices are medically necessary. They’re not a luxury they’re a lifeline.
Some of us can walk but can’t stand for long. That’s exactly what rollators are designed for: to keep us moving and give us a place to sit when our symptoms flare. Denying us this support isn’t just unfair it’s dangerous.
SeaWorld’s policy:
Punishes the entire disabled community for the misuse of a few
Increases physical and emotional strain on disabled guests
May violate the ADA, which protects our right to use mobility aids that meet our individual needs
Telling us to “just use a wheelchair” isn’t a solution it’s a misunderstanding of how diverse disabilities truly are. Rollators aren’t optional for many of us. They are our access.
Please sign and share to urge SeaWorld Orlando to reverse this discriminatory ban and consult directly with people who rely on mobility aids. Let’s open the gates to real accessibility and show that every body belongs.
