Homecoming is one of the two most important events of the year, and the student body respectfully disagrees with the selected theme. We feel that because the students are the ones attending the dance, we should be the ones to choose the theme. By voting, all of the students can have a hand in the planning process, which will make them more involved and therefore more likely to attend.
We, the students of iSchool High, respectfully request that the faculty, staff, and relevant student/parent organizations reconsider the theme for this year's homecoming. Specifically, we propose the following steps:

1. Each homeroom may nominate one theme.
2. Faculty and staff approve the proposed themes.
3. The student body votes on the theme.
