With the hopes of Gaza's borders opening up to the world again with this new US deal, I want to call on Senator Penny Wong, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Premier of Victoria Jacinta Allan. Please let the Murtaga family come and live in Australia, preferably Melbourne, where they already have people they know. 

My dear friend Shaaban and his family could die if they are not saved and evacuated from Gaza. The 3 of them are living in a broken tent, because they lost their home in Northern Gaza in Nov '23 from an IDF bomb. They have been homeless for almost 2 years. 

As an Australian citizen living in Melbourne, I would support Shaaban, Fatima, and Rajaa, the Murtaga family. I would sponsor them and help get them over here. They have already lost their father Ibrahim to the hell-like conditions. Shaaban has dreams, he is kind, and he is a hard worker with a degree from Gaza City University in Economics. He misses working and making his family proud, he can speak English and Arabic. And the sister Fatima has a degree in Secretarial Studies from Gaza City University. And Rajaa is a loving mother, who gets great joy cooking for others. The Murtaga family would be an asset to this country. We have so much space to share in Australia, we do not need these offshore island centres, barely any of this land is used. None of the Murtaga family has any criminal history; they are peaceful people who just want to live.
